Reach Out and Read Michigan Coalition

Representatives from the existing ROR sites, partners and other stakeholders from business, philanthropy, and political sectors have been recruited to create an advisory committee whose purpose is to provide leadership and support to establish and sustain a Reach Out and Read Michigan Coalition. The ROR Michigan Coalition is an affiliate of the national ROR.

The ROR Michigan Advisory Board includes representatives from four partner organizations:

• The Michigan Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MIAAP) is the state affiliate of the national AAP. Their mission is to identify, develop and manage opportunities to improve the health and welfare of children and the practice of pediatric medicine. www.miapp.org
  
• Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health (MCMCH) is a policy-advocacy organization committed to promoting and protecting the health and well-being of Michigan’s women, children, and families. MCMCH membership includes the major children’s hospitals and provider networks in Michigan. www.mcmch.org
  
• Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) is a membership services organization representing the federally qualified health centers and rural health centers of Michigan. www.mpca.net
  
• The Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) is an association of over 3,200 Michigan family physicians whose mission is to promote excellence in health care and the betterment of the health of the America people. www.mafp.org
