Site Coordinator Corner
"We received over 20,000 books from them in the
past month - first at a Baltimore pick-up then at St. Louis.
We are very grateful!"
sent to ROR-MI from Gwen Williams, Muskegon Family Care
Gwen sent us this email in response to the notes we sent
out via email in December on becoming a First Book site.
If you are already a site, please let us know by email.

If you are not yet a site, and you meet the qualifications, SIGN UP
NOW! Click on the image above to get to their website. Also, if you are
in the Detroit Metro area (which also covers Flint), you can apply for
a grant from Chapter 47 of First Book, which is the local advisory board
group.
I was at a meeting with them, and they do indeed have grant money waiting
for applicants! You MUST be a First Book Registered site, so that's the
first step! If you apply for a First Book Chapter 47 grant, please let
ROR-MI know. If you do not live in their geographic region, find your
local advisory board and apply for a grant from them! Again, if you apply
for a First Book grant, please let us know. All details for finding your
local chapter are on the First Book website.
Hoping that you are able to take advantage of this free money and books!

thank-you notes as appropriate. Writing general correspondence.
- Straightening books in waiting rooms and exam rooms several
times daily. Organizing all reading materials in waiting
room.
- Creating bulletin boards.

cart. Keeping the book cart well stocked and attractive
to children.

Center and Michigan Coalition, and passing on information
to office staff and physicians.
- Promoting reading to all of our patients on an ongoing basis.
