Free ROR Michigan Teddy Bear Clinic at Whole Foods Market
Has your Teddy Bear had its Springtime Check-up yet? Bring your best teddy friend (or other stuffed animal pal) for a free ROR-Michigan Teddy Bear Clinic!
Nurse Kathy Neph, RN from Henry Ford Medical Center - Farmington Pediatrics, will be there to give your special pal a stuffed animal physical, to make sure that its fit and healthy! Parents and children will also receive information about the importance of reading aloud to children... and their teddies!
From April 12 - July 5, Whole Foods Markets (Rochester Hills, Troy, and West Bloomfield) will be collecting "One Dime at at Time" to benefit ROR Michigan! Please bring in your re-usable shopping bags and donate the spare change to ROR-Michigan!
You are invited to Reach Out and Read (ROR) Michigan’s Snuggle Up with a Good Book Read-A-Thon,
taking place from now until the end of April 2009. Our goal is for each Reader to raise a minimum of $40, which will
support one child’s “full dose” of ROR – 10 books between ages 6 months and 5 years. All you have to do is gather
up some support to sit and read for a while!
The purpose of the Snuggle Up with a Good Book Read-A-Thon is to purchase books for children, and
provide training for health professionals, and to support sustainability of the ROR programs in Michigan. We currently
have 100 sites in Michigan, in 29 counties, reaching 79,000 children. In 2008, we distributed over 121,000 books! Click here to read more!
