We are delighted to invite you to our very favorite fundraising event - the exciting and FUN the 3rd annual Big Buzz Adult Spelling Bee, April 22, 2010, 5:30pm-9pm!
The Big Buzz Adult Spelling Bee is ROR Michigan's annual fundraising event. The proceeds will be used to provide books, training, and technical assistance to new and existing ROR programs throughout Michigan.
Here’s the buzz...
* Teams of eight adults - two spellers and six enthusiastic cheerleaders - compete for prizes and glory not experienced since their elementary school days! There are two rounds of spelling, with teams spelling as many words correctly as possible in a minute. Words are those used at children's spelling bees... and spellers receive the lists early so they can study!
* Trophies and Exciting Prizes are awarded for Best Spellers, Most Creative Costumes, and Most Enthusiastic Cheerleaders!
* Delicious complimentary desserts and light hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar.
* Party favors and prize drawings for all in attendance!
* Lots of fun and laughing!
HOW YOU CAN GET IN ON THE BUZZ!
* Sponsor a Big Buzz Adult Spelling Bee Spelling Team, beginning at $500. This may be your own team, or ROR Michigan can recruit a nonprofit organization to represent you.
* Sponsor the Big Buzz Adult Spelling Bee with a donation beginning at $250.
* Sponsor the Big Buzz Adult Spelling Bee with donation of prizes, decorations, or refreshments. Please ask for details.

It’s time to read a good book for a good cause! Join Reach Out and Read (ROR) Michigan’s 2nd Annual Snuggle Up with a Good Book Read-A-Thon, taking place from now until the end of March 2010. Our goal is for each Reader to raise a minimum of $40, which will support one child’s “full dose” of ROR – 10 books between ages 6 months and 5 years. All you have to do is gather up some support to sit and read for a while!
